Oral Examination

When it comes to your dental health, we want the full picture. We’ll be sure to examine not just your oral cavity for tooth decay and gum disease, but we’ll also ask about other health issues and medications you may be taking. At Roots to Crowns Dental Care, you’re more than just a pretty smile.

Dental X-ray

We use digital x-rays (RVG) to get a good look at your teeth while exposing you to less radiation than traditional x-rays. Best of all, we don’t have to wait for the digital images to develop. They’re available in seconds.

Dental Fillings

At Roots to Crowns Dental Clinic, we use tooth-colored composite materials for all our fillings of cavities and decayed teeth. It's not only aesthetically pleasing, but will strengthen the affected tooth and prevent further damage.

Teeth Cleaning (Scaling & Polishing)

Scaling is a common treatment method. This non-surgical procedure removes tartar, plaque and stains from and around the teeth. Once that is done, all the tooth surfaces are polished to make them smooth and thus make them less plaque retentive.

Preventive Dentistry (Fluoride Application & Sealants)

Fluoride applications help to strengthen your teeth enamel and increase its resistance to decay. We recommend fluoride applications at regular intervals. Dental sealants provide a protective layer over your teeth to help prevent tooth decay. The sealant material is applied directly to the surface of the tooth to prevent bacteria from getting into the spaces between your teeth. This procedure is often recommended for children as a preventive measure against cavities.

Tooth Extraction

Comprehensive Dental Care

The most common reason for a tooth extraction is when a decayed tooth is beyond practical repair. Other reasons can be: Advanced gum disease, Impacted tooth, For Orthodontic purpose, Overcrowding. We administer a local anaesthetic to numb the area. During the procedure, you may feel some slight pressure as the tooth is being removed, but you should not feel any pain. The extraction is usually complete in a matter of minutes. Immediately following the tooth’s removal, a small amount of bleeding is to be expected. We will then explain to you the post extraction instructions.

Fixed Prosthodontics: Crowns

When teeth have become weakened due to damage, decay, injury, or root canal therapy, porcelain/porcelain fused to metal/ metal dental crowns help protect them. Crowns are “caps” that are placed over the entire tooth. We utilize a state-of-the-art Zirconia system & Digital Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) to provide custom-made crowns. These crowns provide a precise fit, are extremely durable, and will look and feel like your natural teeth.

Fixed Prosthodontics: Bridges

Much like crowns, dental bridges are made of durable porcelain/ porcelain fused to metal / metal and are colour matched to the surrounding teeth. The bridge is composed of artificial teeth that are supported by crowns placed on the adjacent teeth. This procedure will help restore your bite and provide a support structure that prevents other teeth from shifting.

Fixed Prosthodontics: Full Mouth Rehabilitation

The need for full mouth rehabilitation may be a consequence of variety of factors. A thorough clinical examination is needed beforehand. Reconstruction can be accomplished in a relatively short time but we prefer it to be completed in phases over a period of weeks or months if necessary. The sequence of the treatment is often more important than the speed at which the treatment is completed. It is more important to do the right treatment rather than compromise quality.

Removable Prosthodontics

These are many restorative options for replacing missing teeth. Depending on your jawbone density, you may not be eligible for implants or anchored dentures. Dentures help many patients achieve their goal of having a beautiful smile and they help improve their ability to chew and speak. We provide a wide variety of options of removable dentures like cast metal, attachment retained, semi rigid, flexible and off course the common acrylic.

Dental Implants
Maxillofacial Prosthetics

Patients with missing teeth have traditionally been treated with dentures or bridges that require daily maintenance. Dental implants offer patients an effective solution with results that look and feel natural. During the procedure, a small titanium implant is surgically inserted into the jawbone, where it serves as the "root" of the missing tooth. A temporary crown is placed over the implant area and once the implant fuses with the bone, usually within 3 to 6 months, a custom-designed crown is placed on the implant.

It deals with the rehabilitation of patients with acquired and congenital (from birth) defects of the head and face region with the use of a prosthesis. These range from minor to major functional disabilities combined with cosmetic disfigurement.

Anti-Snore Appliance

We can help you get the peaceful sleep you need using a custom made appliance. The appliance is similar to a mouth guard. Custom-fit pieces snap over your upper and lower teeth, positioning the lower jaw forward to keep your throat open and prevent snoring and sleep apnea.

Speech Prosthesis

It is appliance for those who have undergone cleft palate surgery or have an anatomical soft palate defect or have a neuromuscular insufficiency of the soft palate resulting in unintelligible speech. The speech bulb appliance or a palatal lift appliance helps in improving the speech and thus improves one’s self confidence.

Paediatric Dentistry (Children)

Milk teeth are the first set of teeth. Maintaining their health until the permanent teeth erupt is very important. Also, the mixed dentition period from the age of 6yrs to 12yrs is very significant for a better future dentition. We take the fear out of dentistry for the child and make our procedures comfortable in order to protect your child’s milk teeth till they fall off naturally. We prefer keeping short appointments for children.

Mouth Guards (Custom made Sport Guards & Night Guard)

Do you find yourself waking up with a dull headache? Are you experiencing unexplained soreness in your jaw? Have you noticed broken, loose, or painful teeth? If so, you may be suffering from bruxism, or as it’s more commonly known, grinding your teeth. Stress or a sleeping disorder may cause you to grind your teeth, or it could be a symptom of missing teeth or a bite that’s out of alignment. While we work to get to the root of the problem, we can help you preserve your dental health by fitting you with a custom mouth guard to wear at night. You’ll sleep easier knowing your teeth are protected. We also make custom Sports Guards to protect your and your children’s teeth from accidental injuries while playing sports.

Temporomandibular Disorder Therapy (Jaw Joint therapy)
Orthodontics (Braces & Clear Aligners)

TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders are a group of problems related to your jaw joint. If you have had symptoms like pain or a “clicking” sound, you’ll be glad to know that these problems are more easily diagnosed and treated than they were in the past. These symptoms occur when the joints of the jaw and the chewing muscles do not work together correctly. TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint, which is the name for each joint (right and left) that connects your jaw to your skull. Since some types of TMJ problems can lead to more serious conditions, early detection and treatment are important. No one treatment can resolve TMJ disorders completely and treatment takes time to become effective.

Orthodontics is the art and science of repositioning teeth and realigning bites for healthy smiles that look beautiful and function comfortably. We design personalized orthodontic solutions that give patients of all ages life-enhancing smiles. Our Consulting Orthodontist will perform a comprehensive assessment of your individual needs to plan your personalized course of treatment. Metal wires laced through brackets adhered to teeth provide a proven method to close gaps, eliminate crowding, and properly position teeth to eliminate bite misalignment. Adjusting the tension of the wires gradually moves teeth into their ideal arrangement. We offer clear and coloured brackets to let patients customize their braces to reflect their individuality. We also have the option of clear aligners.

Periodontics (Gum Disease)

If you’re experiencing swollen, painful or bleeding gums, shifting or loose teeth, or severe bad breath, you may be suffering from gum disease, caused by bacteria thriving below the gumline. It’s best to treat these symptoms early before more severe problems arise. You may require to undergo a gum surgery. Some people have dark gums. They are due to the presence of melanin within the gums. We have the option of Gum de-pigmentation surgery to get rid of dark gums.

Root Canal Treatment

A root canal treatment alleviates the intense pain and pressure of internal tooth damage and prevents extraction. The dentist removes the infected tissue, replaces it with biocompatible filler, and then seals the tooth with a custom-made crown. Patients experience an end to discomfort, along with a structurally sound tooth that is strengthened and protected for years to come.

Emergency Dental Care

No matter how conscientious you are about your oral health, things pop up. Emergencies happen. But don’t worry, we offer same-day appointments for your emergency dental needs and handle them effectively.

Oral Surgery: Sinus Lift

A sinus lift is often required as a first step when placing a dental implant in the back upper jaw. When upper back teeth are lost, bone in the area naturally shrinks or resorbs over time; as a result your sinuses expand to fill the empty space. Because there is insufficient bone available to securely place an implant, the sinuses must be lifted to create space for placing additional bone in the area.

Oral Surgery: Wisdom Tooth Removal
Oral Surgery: Apicoectomy

Many of the times, the wisdom tooth gets locked in the jaw due to unavailability of sufficient space for it to erupt. Such tooth requires a minor surgery for its removal. Our Oral surgeon will make sure that you are going to receive the highest level of care, in a relaxed atmosphere that will help alleviate anxiety, allowing you to receive the best dental care.

When inflammation or infection persists in the bony area around the end of your tooth, usually after a root canal, an apicoectomy may be performed. In this procedure, the dentist opens the gum tissue to remove the infected area and the tip of the root. A small filling may be inserted into the root tip to seal the root canal.

Teeth Whitening (Bleaching)

Whitening your teeth is one of the easiest procedures to brighten your smile and improve your overall appearance. As we age, our teeth naturally become more dull and yellow in colour due to a variety of factors. Professional teeth whitening procedures effectively lighten teeth and remove stains, which brightens teeth with long-lasting results.

Laminates and Veneers

Veneers are thin shells of ceramic material that are bonded to the front surface of your teeth. They are a popular treatment for correcting minor aesthetic imperfections such as chips, gaps, discoloration and cracks. Porcelain veneers are a virtually painless procedure that can change the shape, length, and colour of your teeth. Veneers are long-lasting and require no further maintenance apart from regular brushing, flossing and routine checkups.
